Woodstock, GA Events You Should Add To Your Fall Bucket List
There is so much to do outside in Woodstock, GA, especially after the summer temps cool down. From hiking, biking, and kayaking to spending the day at the lake. However, when you’re ready to take a break from your outdoor adventures, be sure to enjoy one of these outdoor fall events that Woodstock is known for.
Taste of Woodstock
Taste of Woodstock happens every September at the Woodstock Arts Event Green. This popular annual event is the perfect opportunity to experience Woodstock’s thriving dining scene. Area restaurants will serve delicious tastes of their best dishes in a variety of categories. Admission is free and tastings start at 50 cents a ticket and packages start at $5.
Important to note that cash is not accepted at tasting tents. You’ll want to purchase your tickets at one of the ticket booth locations found at the entrances along Market Street at Elm and Oak Streets.
Participating restaurants will have a selection of everything from sweet and savory pies to fresh gelato and juices; Mediterranean cuisine and oyster dishes; Southern Italian fare and tasty taco bites; and more. Items are priced between 2 and 8 tickets, $1-$4 each.
This years event will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024.
WDSTK Scarecrow Invasion + Scavenger Hunt
The 2024 WDSTK Scarecrow Invasion features amazing scarecrow designs from local businesses, nonprofits, and individuals. The Scarecrow Invasion in on display the entire month of October and is a great opportunity to explore downtown Woodstock.
The Woodstock Scarecrow Invasion also brings a fun, not-to-be missed scavenger hunt. Pick up a clue sheet at the Woodstock Visitors Center and solve the ten clues related to specific scarecrows scattered throughout the area. The hunt is both adult and child friendly. When you’ve solved all ten clues, turn in the results to the Visitors Center to earn a prize.
