Have a baaing good time at Goats on the Roof
In my opinion the best road trips include as many stops as possible at roadside attractions. I know I’m not alone in this crazy addiction of finding the weirdest and oddest in every state. My friend Tonya at The Traveling Praters writes about them a lot more than I do, but even she hasn’t been to what I consider Georgia’s best roadside attraction: Goat on the Roof. This is something that she needs to change very soon because it’s AWESOME!
Seriously, does life get any better than this? Yes, it’s geared mostly towards kidds (see what I did there), but even adults can have a baaing good time (I can’t help myself–lol).
Arriving at Goat on the Roof, located along Hwy 441 just south of Clayton, GA, you’ll find plenty of fun to be had including visiting and feeding the goats, fun and games for kids, and a few tasty treats.
VISITING WITH THE GOATS AT GOATS ON THE ROOF
Feeding the goats is part of the fun at Goats on the Roof. I don’t recommend kissing them, this is the owner so she gets a pass.
Be sure to always be looking up for the goats.
The goats have a fenced in area to roam and they also walk on the roofs and on elevated walkways between the buildings.
You can buy food filled cones to feed the goats or even put the feed in an elevator style cup that you then ride a bike to get the food to the top.
FUN FOR THE KIDS AT GOATS ON THE ROOF
If you are bringing the family to Goats on the Roof there is plenty to do. Mine for gems, play games, outdoor fun, feed goats, adopt a stuffed goat, and enjoy a nitro ice cream.
TASTY TREATS AT GOATS ON THE ROOF
Goats on the Roof offers homemade fudge, nitro ice cream <<—so fun to watch being made, and lunch and dinner ideas. Even if you aren’t hungry when you arrive you won’t want to pass up on the nitro ice cream or fudge.
Here’s a quick nitro ice cream video:
The fudge is sooooo delicious!
